Spider-Man: Far From Home Trailer Release Reportedly Delayed

It looks like the wait for the first Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer will be longer than expected. The release of the highly anticipated teaser has reportedly been delayed by Sony Pictures.

The trailer was initially expected to debut at Brazil's Comic Con Experience during Sony's presentation for the sequel. However, an insider has revealed that the idea has been scrapped and the teaser's release date will be moved (via ComicBook.com).

According to Daniel R, there are rumors that the Far From Home trailer will be dropped on December 18. In a later tweet, he wrote that the release date is TBD but added, "it should be out by Thursday." We're hoping that Daniel means Thursday, December 13.

So why has Sony decided to move the trailer's release? The studio has not yet confirmed anything. However, there are speculations that Sony doesn't want to distract fans from Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse, which will premiere on December 14.

Other rumors suggest that the Far From Home trailer will debut along with Into the Spiderverse. Some also believe that it might have something to do with the massive reaction to the Avengers: Endgame teaser. There are speculations that the studio fears that the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick's trailer will overshadow Peter Parker's return.

Sony has yet to comment on the delayed release of the Far From Home trailer. Hopefully, a new announcement will be made in the near future.

Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse will hit theaters on December 14. Spider-Man: Far From Home is scheduled for release on July 5, 2019.
