Spider-Man: Far from Home Takes Place During Summer Vacation

It's been rumored for a while that Spider-Man: Far from Home will take place somewhere in Europe, and everyone just assumed that it will follow Peter Parker as an exchange student. As it turns out, he's actually going there on vacation.

Marvel head Kevin Feige told io9:

"Well, when does that movie take place? We know it's the summer. I think it's summer vacation. I think he's going to Europe with his friends. I don't know what summer... I mean, I do know [but you don't]."

With Aunt May not seeming to have that much cash to just let Peter go to Europe, I'm guessing that Peter will find his way there via an academic program. Of course, I'm still expecting Peter to go on this journey with his best friend Ned, but it's also possible that he would be on the trip all by himself.

With the word "Home" still in the title of the sequel, I'm curious if Holland's third Spider-Man spinoff film will also have "home" in it as well. It's not really something I'm against, but I'd think that Marvel Studios and Sony would come up with something a tad less redundant for Spider-Man 2.

But what do I know?
