Spider-Man: Far from Home Starts Filming in Two Weeks

Yesterday Tom Holland officially revealed the title of the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel, and now we have news that the movie could start filming very soon.

According to Collider, Marvel head Kevin Feige revealed that the movie is aiming to start rolling cameras in two weeks or "early next month." This would make sense since Captain Marvel is also set to wrap-up production around the same time. I guess it would make sense that Marvel Studios would work on one film at a time.

The villain for the movie is said to be special effects artists Mysterio who will possibly be played by Jake Gyllenhaal. There have also been reports that Michael Keaton is returning to appear as the Vulture in this movie, leading some to think that this will all build up to the supervillain team of the Sinister Six.

Besides that, we don't have much more on casting news. We know that Tom Holland and Marisa Tomei will be back as Aunt May; plus some returning side characters like Ned Leeds and Michelle. Rumors had been going around that the movie was looking to cast Gwen Stacy, and I have no doubt that we'll see more second-tier villains like in the last film.

Spider-Man: Far from Home comes out July 5, 2019.
