Spider-Man: Far From Home Nabs Fresh Rotten Tomatoes Score

Spider-Man: Far From Home is going to come swinging into cinemas next week, and it looks like the film's already received its Rotten Tomato score.

Tom Holland's second Spider-Man standalone movie just had its global premiere last night, and now the first critic scores have officially been collated on Rotten Tomatoes. As expected Far From Home is certified fresh, nabbing a 91% rating among 46 reviews.

Of course, this score could change as the film approaches its official premiere, but we're not expecting any drastic changes. Right now, Far From Home is the third highest-rated Spider-Man movie on Rotten Tomatoes, the highest being Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. A computer-animated superhero movie, Into the Spider-Verse, wowed fans with its revolutionary graphic art style and with the introduction of multiple universes which allowed for different kinds of Spider-men to appear. The film ended up winning the award for Best Animated Feature at the 91st Academy Awards and right now Into the Spider-Verse sits at a 97% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The second place goes to Spider-Man: Homecoming. Marvel's very first standalone Spider-Man movie, Homecoming enjoys a strong 92% score on the review aggregation website.

Of course, third place isn't bad for Far From Home. The last Marvel movie of the year, the film explores the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame. Fans are especially interested in seeing how Peter Parker deals with the loss of his mentor and his father figure, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.).

Spider-Man: Far From Home premieres on July 2, 2019.
