Spider-Man may currently be dust, but Tom Holland is already working on his next film, Spider-Man: Far from Home. The movie is currently undergoing production, and a new set video has Peter Parker arriving at the London Airport and giving someone a hug.
Some guess that this is a possible reunion with Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), but I can imagine that it's someone else close to him like a classmate, or possibly Gwen Stacy. I guess the video would have been a lot clearer if it weren't for the guy in front of the camera.
So far, we know a handful of things about the film. We know that Jake Gyllenhaal is playing the role of villain Mysterio, and that the movie will take Peter Parker away from his home on Queens. We also know that we will have an appearance from SHIELD's Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders).
Personally, I want to see more of Aunt May in this franchise. They took a really unique spin by making her very young in Homecoming, and her dynamic with Peter has become more of a big sister than that of an aunt. Too bad Tony Stark's marriage with Pepper has dampened any hopes for a Tony/May pairing.
Catch Spider-Man: Far from Home in theaters July 5, 2019.
