Spider-Man: Far from Home's Dr. Pepper Tie-In Teases Villain Mysterio

Some set photos from Spider-Man: Far from Home have teased to us Jake Gyllenhaal in his Mysterio costume, but so far, everyone is wondering about his signature fishbowl helmet. Thanks to a little tie-in promo from Dr. Pepper, we have a little teaser of what Mysterio's final look could be.

Check it out:

As you can see, it looks like the movie will be keeping to Mysterio's perfect sphere of a dome. Though I am excited about the costume in its final form onscreen, I'm more excited about seeing what kind of theatrics Mysterio has prepared in the film.

In the comics, Mysterio was a special effects expert and used his skills to pull off elaborate crimes. No doubt he'll be doing the same thing with this sequel, but I am interested to see how the film manages to show off those special effects. I know the movie is going to be CGI heavy, but wouldn't it be impressive if everything Mysterio did onscreen was done practically?

For now, all we can do is wait for Sony to release the first teaser for the film. The first teaser for Homecoming was released December of 2016, and with Far from Home coming out July of next year, I can imagine that Sony would just repeat the pattern and give us the first teaser in December.

Though it may seem far away, we do have the Avengers 4 trailer to look forward to in November. I'm sure that will keep everyone satisfied till December comes along.

Catch Spider-Man: Far from Home in theaters May 3, 2019.
