It's certainly an awesome idea considering that McLaughlin had previously teased on the idea when he was still working on the second season of Stranger Things. The young actor shared a photo of himself along with an image of Miles with the caption, "I wonder, would you guys watch it?!"
That was two years ago and McLaughlin seems to be the right age now to play Miles. Perhaps the live-action film could even cast his Stranger Things co-star Sadie Sink as Spider-Gwen.
But what are the chances that Miles will actually show up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? After all, Spider-Man: Far From Home sort of touched upon the idea of the multiverse although it turned out to be a hoax. Fans are still hoping that Marvel will pursue the multiverse angle so that Spider-people could join Phase 4. However, there haven't been any announcements about that yet so stay tuned for more updates.
McLaughlin certainly is a great candidate to play Miles if the character does get his own live-action film. In the meantime, the young actor is expected to reprise his role as Lucas Sinclair in Stranger Things Season 4.
