Spider-Man: Even More Confirmation Morbius Could Include J. Jonah Jameson

Word was going around last week that Spider-Man: Far From Home's J. Jonah Jameson was going to be in the Morbius film starring Jared Leto. A lot of people had questioned the news since it only came from one source, but now The GWW seems to confirm that the rumor has some truth to it.

Again, it's still not a sure thing that Jameson will be making an appearance in Morbius, but seeing as they cut a cameo of Tom Holland's Peter Parker from Venom, it seems kind of clear that Sony wants their Spider-Verse to be related to the MCU somehow. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how all of it turns out.

If you ask me, Sony should have collaborated with Marvel Studios better when it comes to their SUMC. Though Into the Spider-Verse turned out fantastic, Venom was at the opposite end of the quality spectrum. What are the odds that Morbius and Venom 2 end up just like the latter rather than the former? Not to mention there were also plans to make solo films for Black Cat, Silver Sable, and Kraven the Hunter. They were also supposed to make a spinoff about Young Aunt May.

The success of Spider-Verse should be a hint to Sony that they should have just focused on multiple Spider-People rather than spinoff villains. I mean, imagine a Spider-Man team-up starring multiple iterations of the character including Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire. The internet would break.

For now, we wait for Morbius to release on July 21, 2020.
