Timothée Chalamet is definitely one of the actors who made a huge splash in 2021 and following the success of the Dune remake, fans are eagerly awaiting what his next career move will be. Of course, the clamor for the young actor to join a superhero franchise is quite strong and if you'd ask Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland and Zendaya, they'd have no problems welcoming Chalamet to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

During an interview with AP Entertainment along with co-star Jacob Batalon (via ComicBook), the on-and-off-screen pair was asked which character they think Chalamet should portray if he finds himself joining the MCU. Zendaya pretty much proved that she's in touch with the Spidey fandom and said she'd like to see her Dune co-star play Harry Osborn in the franchise. She said: "I don't know, people want him to be Harry Osborn. I think he would be a good friend of Spider-Man – or foe of Spider-Man, who knows?"

Holland also seems to be on board with the idea and gave Chalamet his seal of approval, saying he would fit the villain role perfectly. He said: "I think it would be good to bring him in as a FOS ("Friend of Spider-Man), and then he kind of becomes bad. He could be a villain. He would be a good villain."

Let's be honest, the idea of Chalamet joining the MCU in the near future isn't a question of "if". Personally, I'd love to see him in the Spider-Man franchise especially now that a new trilogy is rumored to be in the works. It will also be a full-circle moment for him considering he once auditioned to be Earth-616's web-slinger. I'm pretty sure it's only a matter of time before Marvel Studios gives him a call.

Spider-Man: No Way Home hits cinemas on December 17, 2021.
