Spider-Man Actor Tom Holland is NOT Interested in Playing Ben 10

Tom Holland is currently the face of the Spider-Man franchise, and by next year, he'll also be the star of the Uncharted movie. With a lot of people fancasting him to be the live-action Ben Tennyson in Ben 10, Holland has come out to dash those dreams.

This was his reaction to a fan-edit of him as Ben on IG:

If anything, I think Holland would be satisfied enough playing one superhero. It's actually a wonder why he also decided to play Nathan Drake in the Uncharted movie, seeing as he already does a lot of jumping around and swinging as Spider-Man. If anything, some think that Holland has become the go-to fancast whenever it comes to a young, white, male character; so casting him as any of those doesn't seem too creative.

When it comes to Ben 10 live-action, there have been two movies so far, Ben 10: Race Against Time which features the 10-year-old Ben and Ben 10: Alien Swarm which is based on the Ben from Alien Force. Neither of the films were received well, but you can't really expect much from these direct-to-video films.

If anything, I think Ben 10 has huge franchise potential. With the several spinoffs that have come out of the show, it's kind of a no-brainer to have a big studio movie made. My guess is that the studio is waiting for fans of the franchise to be movie-ticket-buying age; then again, they could just market it to to kids, like a sci-fi Harry Potter.

We don't know when a Ben 10 movie will happen, but you can catch Holland in the Uncharted film which is set to come out on July 16, 2021.
