Spider-Man fans will finally get to dive back into the animated world with the upcoming release of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the sequel to the immensely successful Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse back in 2018. The first film threw a young Miles Morales into the Spider-Verse meeting other wild Spider-Man Variants, and the upcoming sequel is expected to take that character count to the next level.
When Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was first announced during CinemaCon 2022, the film was said to have nearly 250 characters involved, expanding Marvel’s Multiverse. This was only teased in the first trailer of the movie as Oscar Isaac’s Spider-Man 2099 went furiously after Miles Morales, and fans are very excited to see just how far the limits will be pushed in the sequel.
Several merchandises for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse have already teased some wild variations of Spider-Man, including cyborg Spider-Woman that should leave her mark on the movie’s main heroes. Now, thanks to a new piece of merch, fans finally get a glimpse at one of Spider-Man’s most thrilling versions from the comics that will be featured in the film - the Scarlet Spider.
In a recent post by Twitter user @haileestan2007, fans were able to get a glimpse at the first official look of Scarlet Spider from Sony Pictures Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
