Spider-Man 4 Starring Tom Holland Already in the Works

There's no doubt that the anticipation for Spider-Man: No Way Home has been through-the-roof since it is going to venture into the multiverse with the appearances of the villains from the past Spider-Man films and the rumors that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will also show up. But some fans are wondering: what is the future of Spider-Man in the MCU after No Way Home? Now, it looks like we finally have the definitive answer.

In Matthew Beloni's latest newsletter on Puck, he revealed that he heard from multiple sources that there's a deal for a fourth Sony-Marvel Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland back on the role and it is already in development.

While the news is not reported by the major trades nor officially confirmed by Marvel and Sony, Beloni was a former editor on The Hollywood Reporter so you can count any of his reportings as most likely to be accurate since he has a lot of connections with Hollywood insiders.

A while ago, producer Amy Pascal revealed in an interview that Holland's Spider-Man will remain in the MCU as Sony and Marvel Studios have plans to continue to collaborate with another trilogy. However, later on, The Hollywood Reported said that they heard from their sources at Sony that there are no official plans as of the moment. This brought confusion for some fans who are anxious about Spider-Man's future in the MCU after No Way Home.

With Beloni's scoop in his recent newsletter, it puts a more definitive answer about the future of Holland's Spider-Man in the MCU. It's not necessarily a 100% confirmation, but we can pretty much say now that Holland is very likely to continue his journey in the MCU after No Way Home and he will have another solo film sometime in the future. It is also contrary to some speculations that Holland's Spider-Man will be moving to Sony's Spider-Verse by the end of No Way Home.

We are now a few days away before Spider-Man: No Way Home hits cinemas and the excitement has been nothing but overwhelming thanks to all the rumors and speculations that we've been discussing for almost a year now. Will Maguire and Garfield actually show up in the film? Fortunately, we don't need to wait any longer.
