Space Force Co-Creator Unsure About Season 2 for Netflix Series

There is little doubt that people are hoping for a second season of Space Force after the comedy series concluded on a cliffhanger. But is it possible that Netflix isn't quite ready to deliver Season 2 just yet? Co-creator Greg Daniels has just revealed that the streaming giant has not yet renewed the Steve Carell show.

Daniels recently spoke to Collider about the series and he admitted that he is eager to continue with the storyline.

"We're certainly hoping for a few more seasons, and we have started to assemble the senior writers to discuss what would happen next year," Daniels said. However, he was also quick to point out that Netflix has yet to renew the show.

"We don't have the pickup yet, but yeah. There's a lot to follow up on based on where we ended," Daniels said.

This is rather disappointing for fans who are hoping to find out what happens after the first season finale. In the last episode, the Habitat One crew were finally on their way back home from the sabotage mission when they discovered that the Chinese have taken over the American base. This forced Mark to turn the helicopter back and it is still unclear what will happen to them.

Space Force stars Carell, John Malkovich, Ben Schwartz, Diana Silvers and Tawny Newsome. For now, Netflix has not yet renewed the show for a second season but there is a good chance that a renewal will be announced later this year. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
