Sophie Turner Wants to Return as Jean Grey in New X-Men Film

It might still be a long time before we get to see the X-Men joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, Sophie Turner is already eager to return as Jean Grey in a possible follow-up to Dark Phoenix.

Turner recently spoke to Variety where she was asked if she would be interested in returning to the X-Men Universe. Not surprisingly, the former Game of Thrones actress stated that although she does not know about any plans just yet, she still wants to play Jean all over again.

"I don't even know what the deal is, whether Disney wants to continue on the X-Men journey. I would always be down to go back to that character and that cast and that experience... we had the best time on those movies. I would kill to go back," Turner said.

Of course, there is still a possibility that Jean is alive after what happened in Dark Phoenix. Although the character disappeared in a burst of energy, we still got a glimpse of a phoenix, hinting at her possible survival.

It won't be difficult to explain Jean's return. However, there's still one problem standing in the way. Disney has yet to make any announcements about their plans for the X-Men after their acquisition of Fox and it is believed that it may take a few more years before the mutants will be introduced into the MCU. Nevertheless, we're pretty sure that Turner will be eager to jump into action once the time comes.
