Sony's Official Twitter Account Responds to Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man 4 Fan Campaigns

Even months after following Spider-Man: No Way Home's theatrical release, the three-generation crossover of Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire is still at the top of the mind of solid Marvel fans. But featuring two former Peter Parkers eventually comes with a price, as fans are now campaigning on Garfield's The Amazing Spider-Man 3, and Maguire's Spider-Man 4.

Social media campaigns are not new to the MCU, or any superhero film franchise. And some online campaigns had resulted in the film's actual release, like DC's Justice League Snyder's Cut. A Decade after Maguire's Spider-Man wrapped things up, the fans clearly wouldn't mind seeing the web-slinging hero in the form of Tobey Maguire again. Let's all admit it, seeing Tobey in Spider-Man: No Way Home gave us nostalgia, and even though Tom Holland is doing a good job of portraying Peter Parker in the MCU, we're sure Sony could do something with Maguire's Spider-Man after No Way Home brought his Peter Parker back to his original universe.

Sam Raimi is also back in the MCU for the Doctor Strange sequel, Multiverse of Madness. Now that the two are in the same cinematic universes, it would be really easy for Marvel to reunite Raimi and Maguire in a future project, especially after Raimi recently expressed interest in working with Maguire again.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is now available for digital purchase, and Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness will hit the big screens on May 4.
