The news comes after The Korean Business Research Institute released a list of most top 50 popular Korean drama actors for the first month of the year.
The data is based on dramas aired from December 19, 2022, to January 19, 2023.
With this, the Descendants of the Sun stars once again reigned the monthly chart with their respective dramas.
Song Hye Kyo Leads Top Actor Brand Reputation Rankings for January 2023
For January 2023, Song Hye Kyo ranked first in Actor Brand Reputation Rankings with her comeback K-drama The Glory gaining huge popularity since it made its premiere.
In a report obtained by a media outlet, the Hallyu queen garnered a brand reputation index of 10,041,913
Interestingly her keyword analysis includes phrases like Netflix, school violence, and Lim Ji Yeon.
As for the top-ranking related terms for Song Hye Kyo are revenge, punishment, and breakthrough.
On the other hand, The Glory cast who also made it to the top 10 is Lim Ji Yeon at fourth, followed by Lee Do Hyun. Park Sung Hoon entered sixth place while Jung Ji So made it at eighth place.

Interestingly, coming to the second spot is Song Hye Kyo’s ex-husband, Song Joong Ki.
Thanks to the continued popularity of his small screen return, Reborn Rich, the South Korean heartthrob remained among the top stars who were included in the Actor Brand Reputation Rankings.
Song Joong Ki’s brand reputation index scored 8,005,509.
Capping off the top 3 is rookie actress Go Yoon Jung who gained massive fame after landing the role of Naksu in Alchemy of Souls Season 2: Light and Shadow.
For her brand value, Go Yoon Jung garnered 7,605,799 points, making her in third place.
