Some Major Movies Unavailable During Disney+ Launch

Disney might be offering a whole lot of content when it launches its streaming site in November, but it looks like the Mickey Mouse House won't be able to put up all of its major movies on Disney+ during its launch.

Earlier this week, Disney took to Twitter to announce all of the different movies, series, and documentaries that are going to be made available during the launch of its streaming platform. However, while the media giant listed more than 600 different titles, there were a few notable movies that appeared to be missing from Disney's post.

Screen Rant listed down the major movies that fans won't get to see on Disney+ during the streaming site's launch next month.

This includes Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the second installment in Lucasfilm's Star Wars sequel trilogy. Avengers: Endgame is also missing from the list.

The animated classic, Tarzan, is also going to be unavailable during the site's launch. So is the heart-wrenching Disney Pixar movie, UP. Disney also left out Maleficent off its launch, perhaps to avoid distracting fans from the release of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.

Disney may have just recently acquired most of 21st Century Fox's film and television assets, but the studio has chosen not to offer any of the studio's X-Men movies on Disney+ during the launch. It's also opted against featuring Avatar.

While this new report might cause fans a bit of concern, these films may find themselves on Disney+ within the next two years or so. Disney doesn't plan to release everything it has all at once, saving a few of its titles for later release on the streaming site.

Disney+ is set to launch on November 12, 2019.
