After season 1 episode 11 saw Sung Jin-Woo in dire straits, Solo Leveling episode 12 opened with him facing off against a wave of enemies.
While it seems to be a hopeless situation, Jin-Woo powers through it and manages to complete the job change quest. There, he discovers that the new job that he unlocked is a necromancer.
This surprised Jin-Woo, especially as he hadn’t put anything in his intellect stat. What’s more, his skillset and combat style make him more of an assassin. On the flip side, necromancers typically fight in the backlines.
Jin-Woo was initially reluctant to accept this new class, though the system stated that this was a hidden class. Thus, Jin-Woo decides to accept the job change, and he proceeds to try out his new skills.
At the episode's end, Jin-Woo is shown summoning the shadow of Igris, the powerful Red Knight that he defeated.

As the first season only consisted of 12 episodes, chances are that season 2 will also be a one-cour series. This is likely given how high the production quality of the show is.
There’s also no word yet on a release date for the next season, so it’s likely that season 2 will be released in 2025 at the earliest.
When season 2 premieres, it will be available to stream on Crunchyroll, as confirmed by the company.
