Solo: A Star Wars Story Fixed a Continuity Error From the Original Trilogy

Solo: A Star Wars Story might not have done well in the box office but it did entertain the fans who ended up seeing it. Many are now calling this film one of the most underrated installments of the franchise since it managed to tell an entertaining tale that would put a smile on the face of any Star Wars fan. It also fixed a continuity error that happened in A New Hope, which seems to be why these spinoff films were made in the first place.

Rob Bedrow, the visual effects supervisor of Solo, decided to share this aspect of the movie to ABC News. He goes on to explain how the front two landing gears of the ship were torn off during the Kessel Run of the movie.

"So if you watch really carefully in the middle of the Kessel Run when we're coming up to that ice, that giant carbon berg Han does the slide on, we actually rip off the front two landing gears."

This confirms that Han didn't bother trying to fix the ship until after A New Hope and before The Empire Strikes Back, which is when it has all five legs again. It's honestly surprising that there is no comic book tie-in from Marvel yet but there could be one in the future. Honestly, this isn't the worst thing in the world but the fact that they went and fixed a continuity error shows how much thought and effort is put into these films.

Even with some continuity fixing and a genuinely funny story, Solo failed to make an impact in the box office, though it is entertaining fans who decided to buy it on Blu-Ray. Fans who haven't yet can pick up Solo: A Star Wars Story now.
