Solo: A Star Wars Story Director Confirms Jon Favreau’s Cameo In The Upcoming Standalone Movie

It looks like Iron Man star and Jungle Book director Jon Favreau has been added into the cast of Solo: A Star Wars Story to voice an alien in Lucasfilm's newest Star Wars spinoff movie.

The Star Wars franchise has had quite a number of star-studded cameos over the years, including Daniel Craig's stormtrooper disguise and Rogue One director Gareth Edward's little Resistance fighter get-up in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Now the tradition goes on as Solo: A Star Wars Story makes room for its own cameos, one of which includes Favreau. Two weeks ago, the Marvel actor took to Twitter to share a photo of himself with Solo director Ron Howard and the film's co-writer, Lawrence Kasdan.

Today, Howard decided to retweet the photo, explaining why the three of them were together. According to the director, Favreau is voicing a "very cool and important alien" character for the film, and he's very "flattered and fortunate" that he could pull the filmmaker away from his duties as the director of Lion King.

That's one cameo to look for in Solo. Though we're not sure which alien Favreau will be, we're sure fans are going to have fun trying to spot him in the upcoming Han Solo spin-off.

Solo: A Star Wars Story premieres on May 25, 2018.
