Jeremy Renner admitted recently that he was "pissed off" after being revived following his snowplow accident.

In January 2023, the MCU star made headlines after his snowplow ran him over after he had saved his nephew. It resulted in him suffering from blunt chest trauma and 38 broken bones. He eventually recovered and resumed working again.

In a recent interview on Kelly Ripa's Let's Talk podcast (via EW), Renner got candid about what he really felt when he was revived after the snowplow accident.

"It's a great relief is all I can say. It's a wonderful, wonderful relief to be removed from your body. It is the most exhilarating peace you could ever feel. You don't see anything but what's in your mind's eye," he said.

"Like, you're the atoms of who you are, the DNA, your spirit. It's the highest adrenaline rush, but the peace that comes with it, it's magnificent. It's so magical."

The MCU star added, "And I didn't want to come back. I remember, and I was brought back and I was so pissed off. I came back, I'm like, ‘Aww!’"

Renner shared that while he was only in the afterlife for a few minutes, the feeling still stuck with him.

"I saw the eyeball again, I’m like, ‘Oh, sh*t, I’m back.’ Saw my legs. I'm like, ‘Yeah, that's gonna hurt later.’ I'm like, ‘All right, let me continue to breathe,'" he said.

Jeremy Renner's Upcoming Projects

Renner eventually recovered from the injuries, and he was able to resume his acting career.

His first work after the injuries was filming the third season of his hit Paramount+ series Mayor of Kingstown. Last year, he was cast in Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.

However, his future in the MCU remains unknown as he was notably missing from the list of cast members that were announced to star in Avengers: Doomsday.

Fans are still expecting Renner to reprise the role of Clint Barton in the upcoming Avengers movie, as the actor has expressed interest in continuing to play the hero.
