Sir Patrick Stewart Shares New Poster for Star Trek: Picard

We got out the first teaser for Star Trek: Picard back in May, but the show is set to host a full panel at SDCC 2019 later this month. To help build up on the hype of the show, Sir Patrick Stewart has shared this first poster for Star Trek: Picard.

Check it out:

Though a lot of people thought the vineyard was just a clue as to what Picard has been doing after his years in Starfleet, it looks like it could play a more important role in the actual show. We see the vineyard here in the poster, plus a canine companion for the ex-Starfleet captain.

This is also a neat detail, but the dog's collar also has the classic Starfleet badge. What are the odds that it will have some kind of significance to the story?

We don't have a clue on what the story for Picard will be about, but everyone is hoping we get some major reveals come SDCC 2019. The Enter the Star Trek Universe panel is taking place on July 20 in Hall H, so we can probably expect some huge things. Besides Stewart himself attending the panel, we'll also have appearances from his co-stars Allison Pill, Michelle Hurd, Evan Evagora, Harry Treadaway, Isa Briones, and Santiago Cabrera. Showrunner Michael Chabon will also be present along with executive producers Alex Kurtzman, Akiva Goldsman, and Heather Kadin.

Star Trek: Picard is set to premiere sometime later this year on Amazon Prime Video.
