Silver Surfer Movie Reportedly Being Developed By Marvel Studios

It looks like Marvel Studios isn't slowing down now that they have the rights to the Fantastic Four. But don't expect a film about Mr. Fantastic and the gang just yet. A new report reveals that the studio is actually developing a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie that will focus on Silver Surfer.

The report comes from Geeks WorldWide, which reveals that a Silver Surfer film is currently in development. However, there are no further details about the project just yet. There is a possibility that the movie might be in discussion at Marvel and is still in the early stages. Hopefully, we'll get an official announcement about this soon.

The idea of Silver Surfer getting his own film is a welcome one for fans who feel like the Marvel character was somehow misused in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Although Norrin Radd was actually in the movie's subtitle, it didn't really give him too much to do. On the other hand, a film that's all about Silver Surfer seems like a more suitable approach.

Although we're loving the thought of Silver Surfer joining the MCU, it's important to point out that Disney has not yet announced any plans for the characters they acquired through 20th Century Fox. We're hopeful about it but it's still best to take the report with a grain of salt until we get a clear announcement.
