Shooting Stars: Lee Sung Kyung, Kim Young Dae Reveal True Feelings While Working Together For New K-Drama

Shooting Stars will soon tell the rollercoaster journey of Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Dae’s characters in the drama’s entertainment industry.

The upcoming Lee Soo Hyun-directed series will focus on the lives of people working behind the scenes in the entertainment world. The Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo actress will play Oh Han Byul’s role, the head of an entertainment agency’s PR team. The romantic comedy story will start once she meets Kim Young Dae’s Gong Tae Sung.

Before the 16-episode series starts, the duo appeared in a pictorial and interview with Elle magazine and shared their thoughts about working together.

Shooting Stars’ Lee Sung Kyung, Kim Young Dae Shower Each Other With Compliments

During the interview session after the photoshoot, Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Dae exchanged praises as they detailed their time together on the series’ set.

Lee Sung Kyung acknowledged that they both have positive energies on the set. Since she has been known for having a playful spirit, Kim Young Dae reportedly complemented it with his way of approaching people and sharing jokes.

With that, the actress believed they created a great atmosphere throughout the filming.

Meanwhile, Kim Young Dae commended her and told her that her Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo is the actress’ most memorable project.

“Just like Bok Joo, [Lee Sung Kyung] is down-to-earth, cheerful, and easygoing in real life. She’s particularly good at taking care of other people. There’s a lot to respect and admire about her,” he said.

At the end of the interview, the Shooting Stars cast members shared their desire to continue working hard in their respective careers outside their K-drama.

Lee Sung Kyung noted how working, although it is physically exhausting, makes her feel like she is becoming healthier. Meanwhile, Kim Young Dae explained how his efforts are not immediately rewarded, but it will build something for him in the future.

Shooting Stars will finally arrive on April 22.
