She-Hulk Trailer's Terrible Reception Forces Marvel Studios to Redo 'Bad' CGI

Expectations are incredibly high for the grand arrival of Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and after a grueling wait, fans of the billion-dollar franchise finally got to see a glimpse at the character played by Tatiana Maslany in the upcoming She-Hulk: Attorney at Law series.

However, following the release of the official trailer for the Disney+ series last May 18, fans instantly noticed that something was off about the VFX work done to the actress' She-Hulk face. A lot of people found the CGI'd face extremely goofy, so much so that the character even drew hilarious comparisons to Shrek's Fiona.

Marvel Studios didn't address the backlash surrounding the trailer's "bad" CGI directly but it turns out, the studio has released a version of the trailer on Disney+ with improved graphics.

The Direct reports that significant changes were made to Tatiana's CGI'd She-Hulk face and while the initial release of the trailer featured what seems to be a dated VFX look for the Marvel hero, the Disney+ trailer gave her a more defined face that looks night and day compared to the first one.

Thankfully, Marvel Studios was quick to take action following the collective complaint they received from the MCU fandom. Now, it would be safe to assume that the studio's uber-talented VFX artists are working extra hard to improve the show's CGI ahead of the show's release in August and it's not going to be a walk in the part.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is set to hit Disney+ on August 17.
