Zachary Levi is having the run of his career over at the DC Extended Universe as Shazam but what a lot of fans don't remember is that he was previously part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a forgotten role. Levi actually played Fandral in Thor: The Dark World, replacing actor Josh Dallas but his stint was short-lived, to say the least.

Apparently, Levi didn't have the most pleasant experience in the franchise but admittedly, he'd love to give things another go given the opportunity. Appearing in a panel during DragonCon 2021 (via MovieWeb), Zachary shared that he'd love to return to the MCU as a different character. When asked, the star of Chuck said that Mister Fantastic would be a dream role for him.

He said: "Reed Richards would be kind of fun. But to be truthful, I don't even really allow myself to go down those roads because I'm so good. I'm so set. The fact that I even get to be Captain Marvel/Shazam!/Billy Batson, it's such a fun dream role. And it's got so much different DNA than almost every other superhero."

Considering actors like Gemma Chan were given another chance to appear in the MCU after already playing a different character previously, I believe the door will always be open for Levi to make his way back to the franchise. Obviously, he would love nothing more than to redeem himself from his Thor: The Dark World experience but personally, I'd love to see him stick around in the DCEU because Shazam is the role he was meant to play.

Speaking of, Shazam! Fury of the Gods will hit cinemas in 2023.
