Shazam 2 Star Rachel Zegler Hints Potential Wonder Woman Cameo in Upcoming Sequel

Last week, we learned that Shazam! Fury of the Gods has moved ahead from next year to December this year. A lot of fans are now looking forward to the upcoming sequel after the success of the first film which delighted a lot of audiences thanks to Zachary Levi's charming turn as the titular hero. While the exact plot details are under wraps at the moment, it looks like the upcoming sequel might feature a cameo from a major DCEU hero.

Per Fandom, in a recent issue of Empire Magazine, Rachel Zegler, who will play a key role in Shazam! Fury of the Gods, hinted that Gal Gadot, her co-star in Snow White (the Disney live-action remake of the animated classic that she will star in), might have filmed a cameo appearance in the upcoming DC sequel. "I'm not going to say much, but [filming Snow White] wasn't our first meeting," she said.

A lot of fans are speculating that Zegler might be hinting that Wonder Woman will show up for a cameo in Shazam! Fury of the Gods. After all, there have been rumors that the DCEU star showed up on the set of either The Flash or Shazam! Fury of the Gods last year. The fact that Zegler said that working on Snow White wasn't their first meeting strongly indicates that perhaps they met before on the set of Shazam! Fury of the Gods. After all, they are set in the same cinematic universe so there is a reason to believe that it might be true.

Of course, this is all just speculation and Zegler didn't make a concrete confirmation that Wonder Woman will show up in Shazam! Fury of the Gods. There is a reason to believe that it might be true since we know that the upcoming sequel will feature the goddesses who will be played by Zegler, Helen Mirren, and Lucy Liu. Wonder Woman herself is also a goddess and there is a way for them to interact at some point in the film whether it's in a flashback or in the present day.

We won't find out the truth until the release of the film later this year if Wonder Woman does show up for a cameo. Given that Superman made an appearance at the end of the first film, there is a precedent for her to show up in the upcoming sequel. For now, all we can do is speculate.
