Sharknado Arrives in Magic: The Gathering's Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths

The upcoming Magic: The Gathering set, Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths, isnt' just bringing Godzilla and his fellow Toho iconic monsters; Wizards of the Coast's popular trading card game is also featuring a card inspired by Sharknado, the famously-silly sci-fi disaster movie that stormed TV screens back in 2013, and was followed by multiple sequels.

The new "Sharknado" card from Ikoria is called "Shark Typhoon":

Wow! You can Cycle the card at Instant speed to make a Shark token with flying even with your opponent's "Teferi, Time Raveler" in play. You can also Cycle it as an "extra spell" at Instant speed in your Fires of Invention deck, or you can do some fun things with Wilderness Reclamation. "Shark Typhoon" is an riciulously awesome card, and I can't wait to brew with it!

"Shark Typhoon" is not the only Ikoria card featuring a shark; check out these two other sharks:

Now, who's excited to play "Shark Typhoon" or make a Shark tribal deck? This set is going to be insanely fun!

Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths is officially scheduled to be released on May 15 (rescheduled release day).
