Shang-Chi Star Tim Roth Hypes Up Abomination's Return in She-Hulk

There are several reasons why people are already looking forward to She-Hulk. One major reason is the debut of Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters. Another exciting thing about the Marvel Cinematic Universe series is the official return of Tim Roth as Abomination, who appeared briefly in Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings. So it's no surprise that The Incredible Hulk star is hyping up Emil Blonsky's comeback in the Disney+ show!

In Shang-Chi, the redesigned Abomination made an appearance in an underground fight club where he was facing off against his friend Wong. The film only featured the voice of Tim Roth as his character was mostly CGI. However, Roth is expected to portray Emil Blonsky in She-Hulk.

So what was it like being asked to return to the MCU after all these years? Roth told Uproxx that he was thrilled when Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige came up to him about being a part of She-Hulk.

"I was amazed when they came back around and said, 'How would you feel about...' And I went, 'Yeah. All right!' And we just shot it, I guess in the summer last year or whatever," Roth said. He then admitted that being a part of the MCU show had a lot of perks like hanging out with Mark Ruffalo and Tatiana Maslany.

"Bonus, I got to work with Mark Ruffalo. Awesome. Who I love. And I don’t know if I’m allowed to say. Oh, I can say that," Roth said before gushing about the lead star.

"But this extraordinary woman, Tatiana. Incredible, that woman," he said. "So that was a blast. It was insane."

We're not surprised that Tim Roth had so much fun playing a Marvel character all over again. Needless to say, we're also looking forward to seeing him in action again later this year.

She-Hulk has not yet been given an official release date. However, it is already expected to premiere sometime in May 2022.
