In case you weren't aware, Marvel Studios has officially confirmed the delay of their upcoming film titles which include Black Widow, Eternals and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings due to the effects of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. It is what it is and we're left without a choice but to wait.

Now, Simu Liu, who plays the live-action Shang-Chi in the upcoming flick is breaking his silence regarding his film being pushed back to a later date. The actor is someone who's known for his impeccable wit and humor on social media and he seems to be taking things pretty lightly amidst all the pressure. Taking to Twitter, the 31-year-old actor hilariously reacted to the delay by writing: "My hot girl summer is coming you guys". Check it out here:

Meanwhile, check out the plot details for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings here:

Shang-Chi has a special power in this film, and because of it, he was raised in an orphanage for kids that are trained to fight. This special orphanage is run by The Mandarin. Shang-Chi eventually escapes the school/prison and begins living on the run, trying to stay out the Mandarin's clutches his entire life.

In my view, people are talking about Shang-Chi as much as they should be but I totally get why. Not every casual fan knows about the character's background and history. A lot of MCU diehards have only heard about the character when the project was announced at last year's San Diego Comic-Con but to their credit, it's actually brave on Marvel's part to be stepping out of their comfort zone and introducing new faces to the mix instead of just relying on the established characters they have. And hey, it's not like we're new to these kinds of things. Remember when most of us didn't know who the Guardians of the Galaxy were several years back? Look at them now. To be fair, Shang-Chi is the type of project we should be on the lookout for considering Marvel Studios haven't done something like it before and it's great that they're bringing him in to establish a new hero in the MCU.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is now slated for a July 2021 release!
