Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star Simu Liu recently gave a hilarious review of his MCU debut in celebration of the film's anniversary.

It was three years ago when the actor made his first appearance in the MCU as the fan-favorite hero. The film was a huge box office success considering that the theatrical business was still recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, since then, we have not heard any updates about the actor's next MCU appearance despite the confirmation that a sequel is in the works and speculations that he might show up in the upcoming Avengers movies.

Simu Liu Jokingly Calls Shang-Chi 'Decent Movie' to Celebrate Anniversary

In his recent post on X, Liu offered his take on Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings to celebrate the film's third anniversary.

He jokingly gave it a score of "8.5/10" and called it a "decent movie but lead actor is a little too full of himself."

This is a hilarious post from the actor to celebrate the anniversary as he is poking fun at both the film and his starring role.

Obviously, it's all just a joke since the film is considered to be one of the most acclaimed entries in Phase Four and Liu ascended as one of the rising stars as a result of starring as the MCU hero.

Fans are still waiting for news on the sequel as they are eager to hear more details about the follow-up as well as whether the hero will be part of the new Avengers lineup in the upcoming movies.

Recently, Liu assured once again in an interview that a sequel is still in the works and Marvel remains committed to the project.

"A lot of it is above my pay grade but it's definitely happening. So, just very excited to kind of work on it and it's going to be amazing. I really can't say anything beyond that," he teased.

For now, fans should keep their patience as they wait for news on the long-gestated Shang-Chi sequel.
