Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings have recently released a new trailer. As the release of the film is approaching, the marketing machinations of Marvel has started. The film will be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase 4 plans.
Fans can expect Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings to live up its name. It will showcase the martial arts capability of the titular character. According to Entertainment Weekly, the upcoming MCU film will contain multiple action sequences. This news doesn't come as a surprise as Shang-Chi is a character who is skilled in martial arts, therefore, the film would likely have it.
The producer of the film stated that the action sequences in the film will be at the top of anything that has come before in the MCU. Jonathan Schwartz said that he thinks that the movie is the best action movie Marvel has ever done. He says, "I think this is the best action [Marvel movie] ever done." The producer went on to say that every punch in the film is meaningful, the fighting style is meaningful and the story is told in a visually appealing way.
The film is a superhero epic combining emotional family drama alongside jaw-dropping martial arts. It stars Chinese-Canadian actor Simu Liu who portrays Shang-Chi. His character spent the first part of his life training to become an assassin under his father's strict tutelage. He later walked away to build a more normal life in the US, only to be pulled back into the past he was trying to escape from.
Shang-Chi and the legend of the Ten Rings will be released on September 3, 2021.
