I think we've pretty much established this year that not even a global pandemic can slow down the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Opening Phase Four with a massive bang last January via the hit Disney+ series WandaVision, Marvel Studios has already spoiled fans with five projects so far, including their latest feature film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings which is now screening exclusively in theaters.

The film which marks the official MCU debut of the Master of Kung Fu is doing tremendously well all things considered. In fact, Simu Liu's first major film opened with $8.8 million at the box office, not a bad number for a film that opened during the so-called "pandemic era". Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' social media presence is also off the charts especially now that it already hit cinemas.

Speaking of, if you don't plan on seeing Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings in the cinema and would rather wait for its Disney+ release, I suggest you stay off social media for a few days because several platforms have already been dropping spoilers from the film. In fact, the film's post-credits scene has already leaked on sites such as Twitter and Facebook just hours after its official release day.

Warning: Major Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings spoilers ahead!

The said post-credits scene features the surprising return of Bruce Banner and Carol Danvers who are seen talking with Shang-Chi, Katy, and Wong about some magic and cosmic mumbo jumbo inside the Sanctum Sanctorum concerning the Ten Rings our hero now possesses. It sort of serves as Shang-Chi's "unofficial" welcome to the Avengers with Wong even warning him that things are bound to change now that he's entered their world. If you don't mind spoilers, you can check out the video here.

It looks like Shang-Chi is already being groomed as one of the franchise's most important heroes this early in the game and honestly, who's complaining? I'm definitely all here for it. It's still a little too early to jump to conclusions but I'm excited to see how the involvement of the MCU newcomer will factor into Phase Four's developments.
