Sex/Life Season 2 has reportedly wrapped filming, and now, fans are wondering if the new episodes will be released on Netflix soon. For those unfamiliar, Sex/Life is a steamy romantic drama series created by Stacy Rukeyser and inspired by BB Easton's book 44 Chapters About 4 M.
The first season premiered with 8 episodes on Netflix in June 2021, and it became one of the most-watched original series on the streaming service, drawing 67 million households in the first four weeks since its release.
Three months after Sex/Life premiered, Netflix renewed the show for Season 2, and fans are excited to see more of Billie Connelly (played by Sarah Shahi) and Brad Simon's (Adam Demos) sexy romance.
Netflix hasn't shared any official details about the upcoming season, but back in January 2022, Rukeyser confirmed that all scripts for Season 2 were finished. A month later, principal photography started, and now, it looks like the production has officially wrapped, which means that the new season is now in the post-production stage.
When did Sex/Life Season 2 wrap filming?
It looks like filming for Sex/Life Season 2 wrapped up recently. On April 28, Meghan Heffern, who plays Caroline in the show, shared an Instagram video with a caption revealing that it was her last day on the set, but it's possible that the other stars of the show finished filming at a later date, so it's likely that the new season finished production in early May 2022.
Previously, What's on Netflix reported that filming would wrap on April 29, but it's unclear if production actually finished on that day.
When is Sex/Life Season 2 going to be released on Netflix?
Now that we know that production for Sex/Life Season 2 already wrapped up, the new episodes are on the post-production stage, but how long will that take?
If we look at how long Season 1 took to complete post-production, it took six months, so if Season 2 follows the same schedule, it's likely that the new season will be released sometime in November 2022, so a late 2022 or early 2023 release is likely. However, Netflix hasn't announced a release date yet, so we'll just have to wait and see.
