Several Kissing Scenes Were Apparently Cut From Spider-Man Homecoming

It's just a minor spoiler, but nobody makes out with Peter Parker at all during the entire runtime of Spider-Man: Homecoming, and I'm not really complaining. There wasn't really a scene in the movie where it would have made sense. Now I'm just shocked to hear that they actually shot a bunch of kissing scenes that eventually ended up being cut.

Speaking to ComicBook, Laura Harrier, who plays Peter's love interest Liz Allan in the movie, explained:

"We did a lot of different kissing scenes and none of them are in the movie now. I don't know. It's an interesting choice. We didn't know what they were going to choose, because we had all these different options of Spider-Man kisses and then there's none."

Sure we've been getting some shots of Liz going in for the kiss in some ads, but these don't appear in the movie—as well as that scene in the end of the trailer with Iron Man flying alongside Spider-Man. Best you know for now, in case you were expecting it to pop-up somewhere when you catch the movie.

To be honest, Homecoming was probably the freshest Spider-Man movie that we've gotten since the first one. There're a lot of new twists with characters like Flash Thompson and Aunt May, and we also get to see some interesting story elements that are flipped around from previous movies. Plus, I really like how the Vulture is written. He's very human, and he does what he does from a place outside of greed. Bravo, Jon Watts.

Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters July 7.
