SEVENTEEN is ready to sweep the charts and music shows once again.

Despite the COVID-19, SEVENTEEN remains active to give their fans the best music to soothe them. The K-pop group even expanded their career by making their US TV debut in January 2021 on The Late Late Show with James Corden before visiting the set of The Kelly Clarkson Show.

They also released their third Japanese single, Not Alone, last year. The following month, they secured their partnership with Geffen Records and Universal Music group to smoothy distribute their music outside South Korea, as well as Cigna and TUNE H.

Before the year 2021 ended, they offered their ninth EP, Attaca, and Japanese special single, Power of Love.

SEVENTEEN indeed does not want to keep their fans waiting for a new project from them that they are now preparing new music for the CARATs.

SEVENTEEN’s Agency Confirms Group’s Comeback

On Thursday, STARNEWS revealed that SEVENTEEN is gearing up for their first comeback this year.

According to the news outlet, the K-pop boy group plans to release a full album in May. The report has since been confirmed by SEVENTEEN’s agency, PLEDIS Entertainment.

“SEVENTEEN is preparing to make a comeback with a full-length studio album in May,” the company said, as quoted by Naver.

The new album will be their first comeback since they released their Attaca in October 2021. It will also become the first full album in two years and eight months after dropping An Ode in September 2019.

While waiting for their return, SEVENTEEN recently enjoyed a new milestone that caused their fans to celebrate.

SEVENTEEN Wins At 36th Japan Gold Disc Awards

This month, the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) unveiled the list of winners of the 36th Japan Gold Disc Awards.

SEVENTEEN secured a slot in this year’s Best 3 Albums (Asia) for Attaca. They won alongside TXT (Chaotic Wonderland) and BTS (BTS, THE BEST). The latter group brought home a total of 10 awards this year, making them the first foreign artist to ever win 10 awards in a single year.

Meanwhile, other winners include ENHYPEN, ITZY, and TREASURE as Best 3 New Artists.
