Seth Rogen Calls Out Game of Thrones Showrunners for Skipping Comic-Con

A lot of fans were ready to bombard David Benioff and D.B. Weiss with questions at the Game of Thrones SDCC panel, but the joke was on them because "D&D" decided to quit at the last minute due to "scheduling issues." One particular fan who wasn't pleased was Preacher showrunner Seth Rogen, and he decided to call out Benioff and Weiss during his panel at Comic-Con.

During the Preacher panel (via Reddit), Rogen started by saying:

"I do just wanna start by saying I know we're following the Game of Thrones panel which is a fucking nightmare (just objectively). I also know that their showrunners didn't show up because they didn't want to answer questions about the show, so I just wanna say that, I'm not one of the creators of Game of Thrones, but I am the creator of other TV shows so feel free to ask me any Game of Thrones you guys have, throughout the night. I'm not an expert, I didn't read the books, but I watch the show so I can give you my insights and thoughts just as to how they pulled it off…"

Also, when asked to compare which finale would be better between Preacher and Game of Thrones, Rogen replied with, "I'm here at least, so I think that's a good sign. I'm willing to show my face."

Rogen also mentioned Game of Thrones several times during his panel, and fans did come forward to ask him questions about the show. Here's a small compilation of clips whenever Rogen talked about GoT:

Admittedly, the finale of Game of Thrones was not well-received at all, and Benioff and Weiss became the collective enemy of the internet for delivering a less than satisfying ending to one of the biggest shows on TV. We don't know if they'll ever come forward to address all the fandom reaction, but with Rogen now calling them out, I think the pressure is going to be on.

For now, HBO is preparing a prequel series to Game of Thrones, but it has yet to get a release date.
