Game Of Thrones Panel At SDCC Fails To Address Season 8 Controversy

HBO might have held a special panel for Game of Thrones during this year's San Diego Comic-Con International, but it seems like fans weren't that pleased with the gathering despite the opportunity that it posed for attendees to say goodbye to the series.

For the past few weeks, there's been a bit of controversy boiling around Game of Thrones and its last batch of episodes on HBO. Not only were fans complaining about the show's rushed pace, but they were also complaining about how the series did fan-favorite character Daenerys Stormborn injustice by turning her into a villain without any proper descent to the role.

Still, while Game of Thrones SDCC panel posed as an opportunity for fans to finally throw in their questions about the contentious season, Screen Rant says there was very little talk about the latest batch of episodes. Apparently, there was very little effort at addressing concerns and criticisms to Game of Thrones' eighth season on HBO.

The panel also missed out on some very important individuals, like the series showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. The two were supposed to be part of the panel, however, made last-minute changes yesterday.

Instead, present during the panel were some of the show's biggest stars like Maisie Williams who plays Arya Stark, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau who plays Jaime Lannister, and Isaac Hempstead Wright who plays Bran Stark.

Hopefully, fans who attended the panel at least got a bit of value for the money that they spent for the gathering.
