See a New Side of the Ghostbusters Reboot in New Trailer

Sony has dropped a brand new trailer for Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters reboot to hype up fans for the film coming out in July. It offers a new look at the comedy reboot that audiences may not have expected.

The trailer begins with the ghost-busting ladies (Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon) being told:

It will haunt you every night. Whatever it is, no one should have to encounter that kind of evil — except you girls. I think you can handle it.

As is convention, the quartet is shown battling the paranormal in New York City, but there’s one scene that teases the potential bigger villain in the movie – Chris Hemsworth’s naive assistant character, Kevin.

The first trailers of the Ghostbusters reboot received mixed reactions from fans and critics, but mostly it was bad, but it looks like the studio released this one to allay the backlash.

Other highlights from the trailer is Leslie Jones’ failed dive into a crowd and Slimer’s return.

How fans will receive this new trailer remains to be seen. It has only been up for an hour on Facebook, and so far the reaction still doesn’t look good.

Hopefully, the movie is better than people expect.

Ghostbusters hits theaters on July 15.
