Marvel Studios has released the new trailer for the upcoming MCU series Secret Invasion which gave us a brand new look at Nick Fury and Talos' adventure as they investigate the new threat involving the infiltration of a faction of Skrulls in Earth. They also confirmed that the series will premiere this June 21 on Disney+.
Just like the previous trailer that was released, this promises that the series will have a more serious and grounded tone than any other MCU shows that we've seen before as the main characters are not any of the superheroes and it has a more espionage feel similar to Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
The trailer also hinted that this might be Nick Fury's last tenure in the MCU since they highlighted this as the character's "one last fight," but let's just wait and see whether that is actually the case when we watch the series.

With the divisive reception that the MCU is getting recently, this trailer does suggest that it may turn things around since it does look like that the tone is more serious and won't be too fantastical (aside from the Skrulls aspect). Hopefully, this series will indeed deliver what they promised.
The film's synopsis reads: "Nick Fury learns of a clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. Fury joins his allies, including Everett Ross, Maria Hill, and the Skrull Talos, who has made a life for himself on Earth. Together they race against time to thwart an imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity."
The cast includes Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Cobie Smulders, Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, Don Cheadle, Martin Freeman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Charlayne Woodard, Killian Scott, Samuel Adewunmi, Dermot Mulroney, Christopher McDonald, and Katie Finneran.
Ali Selim directs the series and executive producers alongside Kevin Feige, Jonathan Schwartz, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Kyle Bradstreet, and Brian Tucker. Jackson is also involved as one of the executive producers.
