Secret Invasion: Emilia Clarke's Mystery Character Already Debuted in Captain Marvel

We're finally learning more about Marvel's Secret Invasion which is set to bring back Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. Interestingly, it is Jackson himself who revealed some interesting new details about the highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe series. For instance, Jackson confirmed that Emilia Clarke's character was originally introduced in Captain Marvel.

Samuel L. Jackson is set to star in Secret Invasion along with his Captain Marvel co-star Ben Mendelsohn, who returns as the Skrull Talos. However, Talos isn't the only familiar Skrull who will show up in the MCU series. Jackson told Vanity Fair that an important part of Talos' family will be back in the show.

"Remember when Ben was there with his wife and daughter?" Jackson asked. "She's the little Skrull girl grown up. She's his daughter."

That's only half of Jackson's major spoiler. As it turns out, Talos' daughter will be played by Emilia Clarke. The former Game of Thrones star also teased that the little Skrull girl, whose name has been confirmed to be G'iah, has grown so much since the events in Captain Marvel.

"It's hardened her for sure. There's a kind of punk feeling that you get from this girl," Clarke teased. "She's a refugee kid who's had Talos for a dad, you know what I mean? Maybe the fact that we didn't know he had a kid up until this point tells you everything you need to know about their relationship."

It certainly sounds like G'iah is an interesting character to look forward to in Secret Invasion. With that in mind, we can't wait to see Emilia Clarke in action in the MCU show.

Secret Invasion will also star Cobie Smulders, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Olivia Colman, Martin Freeman, and Don Cheadle. The series will consist of six episodes and is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on June 21, 2023.
