Secret Invasion's explosive finale may have just settled a long-standing Marvel Cinematic Universe discourse — who is the most powerful character in the franchise?
As the billion-dollar franchise began bringing more heroes to the fold during the height of the Infinity Saga, the debate surrounding the MCU's most formidable hero started to sizzle.
Names such as Thor, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, and Scarlet Witch are no-brainer candidates but it looks like one character who was only introduced in the ongoing Phase Five could take the cake, especially after what transpired in Secret Invasion.
Secret Invasion Episode 6: Nick Fury Gives G'iah the Harvest; Turns Into the MCU's Most Overpowered Hero Yet
The final episode of Secret Invasion pretty much proved one thing — that Nick Fury will always be 10 steps ahead of his adversaries. Turns out, the former director of SHIELD sent out G'iah to meet up with Gravik who was waiting for the Harvest formula that will complete his Super-Skrull transformation.
Disguising herself as Fury, G'iah apparently already has the formula in her body allowing her to match Gravik's abilities. For the uninitiated, the Harvest consists of blood samples from several heroes and villains who fought during Avengers: Endgame's final battle.
Episode 6 reveals that some of the samples in the formula include DNAs of Captain America, Thor, Captain Marvel, Mantis, Hulk, and even baddies like Proxima Midnight, the Chitauri, and the Mad Titan himself, Thanos to name a few.
During their heated fight, both Gravik and G'iah display their astonishing abilities but in the end, G'iah successfully vanquishes the vengeful leader of the Skrull resistance.
It begs the question: considering they've both become indestructible, how was G'iah able to kill Gravik? Did Gravik actually possess the Harvest or was it different from the one G'iah used? I guess we'll find out in the future.
