Screenshots From [Spoiler's] Shazam! Cameo Appearance Leak Online

Screenshots of the surprise cameo appearance of a major DC superhero in the highly-anticipated film Shazam! have found their way online.

It turns out that Warner Bros. wouldn't let this one be left without the presence of another character from the DC Comics Extended Universe, and this is a big one.

For the longest time, there have been talks about Superman making an appearance in the movie. This big leak has confirmed that.

A few screenshots of the moment he graces the screen is currently floating around the web. The scene shows Superman walking to the table where Shazam and Freddy were eating lunch. He was even carrying his own tray of food.

The story behind this scene is that Freddy wanted to show the whole school that he knew Shazam so he convinces Billy to show up in his superhero form. To make things far cooler, he brings along Superman.

What's interesting about this cameo, which you can check here, is that the face of Superman was not shown. This is because it is not Henry Cavill wearing the iconic blue and red costume. It was made to look like him though.

It seems that he doesn't have speaking lines, which was originally the plan for this cameo when it was Cavil who was still attached to appear as the character. With his future in the DCEU unclear, this scene teases that there could be a new Superman.

The leaked scene appears to support the report from last month, which means it occurs at the end of the movie. This would make sense since by that time, Shazam is already popular since he saved the city by then and Superman may be there to show his gratitude for his heroism.

The synopsis for Shazam! is as follows:

Billy Batson is a streetwise 14-year-old who can magically transform into the adult superhero Shazam simply by shouting out one word. His newfound powers soon get put to the test when he squares off against the evil Dr. Thaddeus Sivana.

Shazam! hits the cinemas April 5.
