Ever since Captain Marvel came out, there's been a photo of star Brie Larson going around with her mocking the poster for Shazam! (specifically the one where Shazam is drinking a huge soda). Now there's a new image of Zachary Levi copying Brie Larson complete with a Captain Marvel cup.

When it comes to the two characters being compared, I guess it's pretty inevitable. After all, Shazam was the original Captain Marvel in the comics. When it comes down to it, Marvel was just a lot faster when it came to trademarking the name.
Nevertheless, the two stars are nothing but friendly about each other's movies. Zachary Levi even came out with a video asking fans to stop pitting the two films against each other after news came out that some people were purposefully giving CM a low RottenTomatoes rating even before the movie came out.
For now, Captain Marvel is riding at a box office high, with the worldwide gross close to passing $1 billion. We don't know how Shazam! will fare, but I'm hoping it's another hit for the DCEU. After the drought that followed Justice League, I'm just happy to see some other superheroes onscreen that didn't come from Marvel Studios.
Billy Batson is a streetwise 14-year-old who can magically transform into the adult superhero Shazam simply by shouting out one word. His newfound powers soon get put to the test when he squares off against the evil Dr. Thaddeus Sivana.
