The cast for Paramount and Spyglass' new Scream movie continues to grow, with The Boys star Jack Quaid the latest to join the ensemble.
Variety recently revealed that Quaid will join fellow franchise newcomers Vida's Melissa Barrera and You's Jenna Ortega in Scream 5. The Boys star's role is yet to be revealed, raising the question of whether he'll be running away from Ghost Face or is actually the person behind the mask.
With Scream alums David Arquette and Courteney Cox onboard to reprise their roles as Dewey Rilley and Gale Weathers, Scream 5 is said to follow a woman who returns home to discover who has been committing a series of crimes.
It remains to be seen whether Neve Campbell will return as Sidney Prescott one more time for Scream 5, but it would be hard to imagine the new movie without the leading lady.
Ready or Not filmmakers Matthew Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are directing the new horror pic, with a script from James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. The studio is expecting to start production later this year in Wilmington, North Carolina, with the film recently revealed to make its debut on January 14, 2022.
Quaid returns as Hughie in the second season of the Amazon hit series The Boys this Friday.
