What’s the Story Behind Scott Pilgrim Takes Off?
Scott Pilgrim Takes Off is set in Toronto, Canada, and centers around its main protagonist, Scott Pilgrim, who, while being a slacker, has a lot on his plate.
Scott Pilgrim, 23, is a hippie who plays bass for the indie rock band Sex Bob-omb. He shares a single-bed apartment with his gay roommate, Wallace Wells, who somewhat supports his slacker lifestyle.
Interestingly, Scott Pilgrim has a more colorful love life than any of his bandmates.
He's dating Knives Chau, a 17-year-old high school student he met by chance on a bus. They clicked because Scott was at ease with her—that is until he dreamed about a mystery woman on rollerblades!
It seemed insignificant at first, but then Scott happened to meet this mystery girl in person. Her name is Ramona Flowers, and she is an Amazon.c.a. delivery girl who is both lovely and dazzling.
Scott fell head over heels in love with Ramona right away, completely forgetting about Knives Chau. After all, Scott's parents and siblings, as well as his friends, are concerned that he is dating a minor.
However, he had no idea Ramona had seven evil ex-boyfriends whom he needed to defeat to continue dating her.
Even so, Scott Pilgrim is hell-bent on making Ramona Flowers his girlfriend at whatever cost!
As Ramona's seven evil ex-boyfriends appear one after the other, exposing more facts about Ramona and their time together, Scott Pilgrim's life becomes chaotic but fun!
