Meet Scott Pilgrim: The Slacker Who Wants to Defeat All Seven Evil Exes of Ramona Flowers
You're missing out on a lot if you haven't heard of Scott Pilgrim. He is a 23-year-old Canadian slacker who plays bass guitar in Sex Bob-omb, an indie rock band.
He is not just unemployed, but he also prefers to play video games in his video-game-themed apartment room.
While Scott Pilgrim appears to be a hippie loser (obsessed with his hair), he has a special charm and charisma for other people that attract ladies, notably Knives Chau, a 17-year-old high school student.
Scott’s dating life and current living conditions are often topics of concern for his parents.
Even his younger sister, Stacey, treats him like he’s years younger than her, though Scott isn’t bothered.
In addition, Scott’s gay roommate, Wallace Wells, would often lend his credit card to him to finance his needs and wants. Yikes!
The story of Scott Pilgrim takes a different turn when he dreams of a girl on rollerblades somewhere in the desert.
She was beautiful and radiant—the kind of girl Scott would want to date, even though he’s already dating Knives Chau.
This girl is none other than Ramona Flowers, an Amazon.c.a. delivery girl whom Scott later met in person. Scott is smitten with Ramona to the point where he will go to great lengths to date her.
There’s obvious romantic tension between Scott and Ramona, and they must work together to overcome Ramona's seven evil ex-boyfriends, including some nasty girls from Scott's past, including Envy Adams.

Are the Scott Pilgrim Comics Complete or Still Ongoing?
Bryan Lee O’Malley’s Scott Pilgrim comics are already complete. It was first published by Oni Press from August 18, 2004 to July 20, 2010, having released six digest-sized black-and-white volumes.
It was then republished by HarperCollins under their imprint, Fourth Estate. Later, Nathan Fairbairn colored hardback volumes of the comics, which were released from August 2012 to April 2014.
