Scarlett Johansson Says Natasha is Pragmatic in Black Widow Movie

COVID-19 may have delayed the release of Marvel's Black Widow movie, however, the novel coronavirus outbreak has not diminished any of the excitement building up over the first movie in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Speaking in an interview with Zee News, Marvel's Black Widow star Scarlett Johansson talks about what fans might expect from the film. According to the Avengers: Endgame actress, fans are going to see a Black Widow that operates within shades of grey, taking a leadership position that allows her to be her natural self.

"I think my character has really grown over the past 10 years. She has sort of fallen into a leadership position which I think is a natural place for her and she is very pragmatic and she is flexible and understands the shades of grey that exist in the universe and can operate above and below and she is brave," Johansson told the entertainment news outlet.

According to Johansson, fans are going to see a version of Black Widow who's grown from all her previous experiences in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Natasha Romanoff is a fully realized person in the upcoming Black Widow movie, and it's going to add a whole lot of depth to the film.

Of course, we'd expect Natasha to be a whole lot more mature in Black Widow – after all the movie is set between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. The hero must have had a lot to think about coming out of Civil War.

Black Widow is set to premiere on November 6, 2020.
