Sasha Banks Says Saving Baby Yoda Almost Made Her 'Scream and Cry'

There is little doubt that everyone wants to meet and work with Baby Yoda. But how does the one actor who saved The Child in The Mandalorian Season 2 feel about being Grogu's hero? Sasha Banks says that the idea actually made her want to "scream and cry."

Banks, who is credited as Mercedes Varnado in Chapter 11: The Heiress, recently spoke to The Hollywood Reporter where she was asked about the scene where the Nite Owls swooped in to save both Mando and Baby Yoda. Not surprisingly, the WWE star was thrilled when it was revealed that she would be the one to rescue The Child.

"It was so incredibly cool when I found out that I was going to save him. I just wanted to cry and scream, but I felt like I didn't have time," Banks said. "I was just like, 'OK, let's go! Let's do it!'"

However, being a hero isn't quite as easy as it looks. Banks admitted that she had some difficulty handling Grogu's pod while wearing heavy armor.

"At the same time, it was so, so hard because that pram is really heavy and with my beskar on as well, it was hard. So he should be really thankful — and I think he is — that I saved him," she said with a laugh. "So it was cool."

We're pretty sure Baby Yoda is grateful and all the Star Wars fans are happy that Koska Reeves arrived to save the day. For now, it is unclear if the Nite Owls will be back in the upcoming episodes but we're hoping that we get to see them again in action.
