Sarah Jessica Parker Says Original Hocus Pocus Cast Want to Return in Sequel

In case you missed it, the classic comedy Hocus Pocus is getting a sequel that will air on Disney+. But what could happen in the second film? Sarah Jessica Parker says that the original cast should be brought back since they are all eager to reprise their iconic roles.

Parker was one of the antagonists of the first Hocus Pocus movie where she played Sarah, one of the witches alongside Bette Midler and Kathy Najimi. But would the original Sanderson Sisters consider reprising their roles in the sequel? In an interview with Sirius XM's Quarantined With Bruce, Parker addressed the possibility of coming back for the new film.

"I think that it's something that Bette and Kathy and I are … very hospitable to," Parker said.

It's an interesting comment that suggests the actors are open to the idea but are also wary of not being asked to return just yet. Personally, I think it would be awesome to see Parker reunited with Midler and Najimy for the sequel since they did a great job in the original movie. For now, there haven't been any updates on whether the original cast will be back. Nevertheless, we are keeping our fingers crossed that we'll be getting some good news soon.

Hocus Pocus was released back in 1993 and it also starred Omri Katz, Thora Birch, and Vinessa Shaw. The film follows a young boy who accidentally resurrects a trio of witches who once terrorized their town.

The sequel has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
